Why start a new school?

We bring together those interested in supporting new education models, talented school leaders, and a strong operational playbook to create innovative, well-run schools.

We are focused on partners who fit the following mold:

  • They believe education is broken.

  • They want to help kids now.

  • They have the resources to do it.

We believe many people fit this mold who are currently doing one of the following things and seeing frustratingly little impact:

  1. Giving money to a charter school organization

  2. Giving money to a policy organization that seeks to change public school policy

  3. Giving money to an existing private school

  4. Giving money to a nonprofit that tries to help existing schools reinvent themselves

  5. Investing in an education-focused fund

We believe the fastest, most impactful way to change education is to open a new school that provides families with a radically different educational experience. However, many education entrepreneurs and investors do not pursue this path because they:

  1. Lack the education expertise needed to establish a school

  2. Do not have the time or desire to run the school themselves

  3. Fear public failure

We plan to bridge the gap between funders and great school leaders in order to grow the thriving private school ecosystem. There is significant value in using an experienced team to launch a group of schools, as it gives each institution access to resources and support that it otherwise would not have. This significantly cuts down on each school leader reinventing the wheel (and potentially failing) when building their program from the ground up.
